TwinEagles Residents Get Expert Help With Their Golf Game

18. February 2010 05:27
The residents of the Bonita Bay Group community, TwinEagles, have a variety of interests and hobbies; however, it comes as no surprise that one of the most popular leisure activities is golfing.  Since TwinEagles offers such a beautiful golf experience, many residents take advantage of being so close to the greens.

For many resident golfers, improving their game is always a goal; this is why TwinEagles is home to the Dr. Jim Suttie Golf Academy.  This incredible, state-of-the-art facility is located within the TwinEagles community and teaches golfers, from novice to expert, the fundamentals for achieving a better game.  The golf academy utilizes advanced digital computer and video swing analysis and balance machines that determine weight distribution during the swing.  As if the academy wasn’t already technologically advanced, multiple cameras are used to record the various swing angles from the building onto the driving range, as well as floor-mounted monitors with split-screens that allow Dr. Suttie to match body type and swing style similar to a professional golfer.

General Manager of The Club at TwinEagles, Jay Severson, says, "We are so fortunate to have Dr. Suttie on our team. His forte is teaching, and this building was designed specifically to meet the needs of his academy. This program rounds out our instructional program at TwinEagles and gives us one of the best instructors in the world."

TwinEagles makes the perfect home for any golf enthusiast.  For a limited time, reduced homesites are being offered from the $140,000s.  See why TwinEagles is the perfect place to call home.

Bonita Bay Group’s Sandoval Community Sees a Boom in Sales In 2009

12. February 2010 09:01

Even with the listless economy of 2009, home sales in the Bonita Bay Group’s Sandoval community have increased more than 48% from 2008.  In 2009, the 524 acre community sold 119 home sites; a dramatic increase compared to the 80 home sites sold in 2008.

Scott Connell, the master-planned community’s General Manager, says “Homebuyers are excited when they see all the current development under way in Sandoval and are impressed with the caliber of our preferred builders, Pulte Homes and Taylor Morrison.”

Of the 173 building permits issued by the city of Cape Coral in 2009, 66 permits were for building within Sandoval; over 38%.

The growth of Sandoval comes as no surprise considering all the amenities available within the community.  Among the lush, green, tropical landscape and tranquil lake views Sandoval even has a fishing pier and a dog park.  In addition to the stunning landscape, residents enjoy the fitness center, volleyball, basketball and bocce and tennis courts.  Perhaps one of the most notable features of this community is the 7,500-square-foot Lagoon Pool.  This unique pool is not only one of the largest pools within Lee County, but it even has a 100-foot water slide known as ‘The Chute.’  There is also a special splash area for children.  However, if relaxing and unwinding are more of what you are looking for, residents can enjoy the serene environment of Quiet Cove.  This quiet retreat offers chairs and umbrellas for dedicated quiet time.  Sandoval offers a relaxed, resort lifestyle, but also comfort and security as a gated community.

Connelll says, “The community is thriving and maturing nicely.  We’re already seeing growing interest in the first weeks of 2010. I fully expect this year’s sales to outpace those of 2009.”

Over 90% of the 579 homes in Phase I have been sold; out of the 541 homes available in Phase II, 40% have already been sold.  With the homes in Sandoval selling at such a rapid rate, why not check out the unique community today, before it’s too late.

Bonita Bay Group’s Sandoval Community Welcomes its 700th Homebuyer

8. February 2010 09:06

Russ and Angela Morris have much to celebrate; they have three wonderful children and are now the 700th homebuyer within the Bonita Bay Group Sandoval community.

Morris says, “We’d never lived in a gated community, but we heard such good things about Sandoval, about how family oriented it was, so we decided to try it. We weren’t sure we’d like it. But once we’d been here a week, we decided we could never live anywhere else. You get spoiled so quickly.”

Sandoval prides itself on being a multi-generational community with many activities and events for both children and adults. Angela Morris says that both she and her husband have many friends within the community with whom they get together on weekends. A major focal point of the Sandoval community is the 7,500-square-foot Lagoon Pool.  This water wonderland not only has a children’s splash and play area, but also a 100-foot waterslide.

“There are so many fun activities for the kids; the pool is great and each street has a cul-de-sac so the kids can play there. They’ll play at our house for an hour then go to someone else’s house for an hour,” says Morris.

The Morris family is in love with their new Davenport model, a 3,474 square-feet home.  With its four bedroom plan, there is plenty of room and every member of the household couldn’t be more thrilled.

Morris says, “We love the layout; there’s not one thing in this house we don’t like. It’s a perfect fit.”

Sandoval is one of the most desirable home locations within the Cape Coral area.  Now is the perfect time to discover Sandoval for yourself.

Bonita Bay Group Residents Reach Milestone Contributions for the Habitat for Humanity of Lee County

30. July 2009 04:10

The residents of Bonita Bay Group’s communities strongly believe in helping their community.  Shadow Wood and Verandah residents have spent countless hours raising money for Habitat for Humanity of Lee County; an organization that builds simple, decent and affordable housing through volunteers.

This year, the communities of Bonita Bay, Shadow Wood and Verandah reached an important landmark by raising over $280,000 for their 2009 efforts.  To date, these residents have raised $1,737,980 for Habitat for Humanity of Lee County.  Residents of the Bonita Bay community formed the committee in 1996.  Shadow Wood residents have offered support and generous donations since 2003; these contributions have lead to the sponsorship of over 15 homes.   Residents of the Verandah community formed a committee this year and partnered with First Bank in Fort Myers to sponsor their first home.

The committees have raised funds through such events as golf tournaments, raffles, auctions and an 8K race.  Residents have also volunteered time with the construction of the new homes.  The donations in accordance with volunteering in the construction of the homes help Habitat for Humanity of Lee County provide housing for those living in sub-par conditions and grant them the dream of owning a home of their own.

Cal Walker, a Bonita Bay resident, committee member and volunteer coordinator noted, “These are people much like us, with families, who so badly want to have an opportunity to own their home. Makes you feel that you’ve done something positive to change peoples’ lives.”

Habitat for Humanity of Lee County is grateful for all the hard work.  Karen Quanstrom, Vice President of Development for Habitat for Humanity of Lee County said “Bonita Bay Group assists these communities in their commitment to supporting local families to realize the dream of homeownership.”

Non-Resident Golf Memberships Are a Golfer's Dream

20. May 2009 08:14

For the first time in Bonita Bay Group's history, golf-membership for non-residents is available on a limited basis. This gives golf enthusiasts the opportunity to play on the many fine golf courses the Bonita Bay Group has to offer. These courses include Bonita Bay, Shadow Wood, Verandah and TwinEagles. In addition to golfing, members can take advantage of the dining at the clubs' exceptional restaurants.

Beginning at $25,000, memberships to these clubs offer members the opportunity to play on nine diverse courses. This gives them the chance to sample the different facets that these award-winning courses provide. For instance, Golf Inc. Magazine named Old Orange at Verandah one of the top five new private courses in the country in 2007. The Cypress and The Sabal at Bonita Bay include two Tom Fazio courses and are a favorite among avid golfers.

Designed meticulously with regard to the environment, Bonita Bay Group was conscious of the fact that these courses had to be both aesthetically pleasing and integrated seamlessly into the surrounding Southwest Florida locations.
