Sandoval’s Model Homes Embody True Resort Style Living

24. March 2010 05:47

The Bonita Bay Group’s Sandoval community offers residents their own tropical oasis without ever leaving home.  Bonita Bay Group’s preferred builders, Pulte Homes and Taylor Morrison, understand what everyone from first time homebuyers to retirees are looking for in their home.

Pulte Homes has created two types of detached villa-styled, model homes in the Greendale neighborhood.  The Brentwood and The Belmont home types come with a choice of three exterior designs, spacious vaulted ceilings and stunning eight-foot tall sliding-glass doors.  The Brentwood features 1,515 square feet with an open floor plan complete with great room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den with the option of converting to a third bedroom.  The Belmont is 1,725 square feet, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and also has a den that can be turned into a third bedroom.  The Brentwood and The Belmont both can serve as a fun, functional first home, the perfect house to retire in, and everything in-between.

In the Sunnyvale neighborhood, Pulte Homes features The Davenport model. The Davenport is a 2,650 square foot, two-story home, with a large second-floor master suite, spectacular covered lanai, four bedrooms, two and one-half bathrooms.

Taylor Morrison created two model homes in the Maraval neighborhood.  The Maraval neighborhood is conveniently located close to the amenities center as well as The Esplanade, a stunning, two-mile-long, tree-lined linear park ideal for walking and jogging; making this area also a desirable neighborhood to call home.  The Fairfield is a 1,744 square foot home with two bedrooms, two baths and a den that can be turned into a third bedroom. In addition to being a great starter home, this model also makes a fantastic vacation home.  The 2,450-square-foot Pinehurst is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom furnished model home which includes an optional bonus room and fourth bedroom.

Whichever model you choose, Sandoval is the perfect place to call home.  The community center has four lighted tennis courts, fitness center, basketball court, and much more; there is something for everyone.  One of the highlights of the Sandoval community is the 7,500 gallon swimming pool complete with a 100-foot-long water slide, The Chute.  The Chute twists and turns residents through tropical plants and blossoming flowers before depositing them into a refreshing pool.  Close by is Shipwreck Cove, a large splash area for children.

With all the fun and excitement Sandoval offers, why not make it your next home?

Escape the Cold in Bonita Bay Group's Sandoval Community

16. March 2010 05:43

While most of the country is still in a cold, snowy, deep freeze; Sandoval residents enjoy basking in the warm Florida sun.  This is definitely the case for Lee and Bob Gerger; these retired Rochester, New York, natives purchased their villa in 2006 after viewing all the activities and amenities that Sandoval offers.

The Gergers take advantage of the various social events and activities; the couple plays bocce with other residents, but they also have different interests.  While her husband Bob participates in a golf league, Lee plays mah jongg and Gameopoly, “There’s something going on every day,” says Lee Gerger. “You feel like you’re on vacation all the time.”

With its 7,500 gallon lagoon swimming pool, Sandoval provides the perfect year round or second home.  Not only do residents escape frigid temperatures, but they also are relieved of monotonous tasks, like lawn mowing.  The Gerger’s friends and family are also impressed with the community when they visit.

Gerger says, “They’re definitely jealous.  When they call us here, they say ‘Don’t tell me what the pool temperature is today!’”

Sandoval makes the perfect place to retire or to raise a family.   We love Florida, especially this area; we really like the Sandoval community. It’s not just older folks. You see children, there’s a dog park. We really enjoy it.”

Now is the perfect time to explore what the 524-acre Bonita Bay Group community has to offer.  Right now Sandoval home and homesite packages start from the mid-$100,000s.

Life Isn’t So Ruff At Bonita Bay Group’s Verandah Community

11. March 2010 05:17

Bonita Bay Group’s Verandah community strives to make all of its residents feel welcome; including the furry, four-legged kind.  While Verandah offers walking and fitness trails, the center of the canine congregation seems to be Blossom’s within the River Village.

It has become a morning ritual for dogs of all shapes and sizes to gather, sniff and play.  More than 20 dogs and 30 residents join in on this daily routine.

Pauline Raymond says her three-year-old Yorkshire Terriers have attended the gathering for over three years now, since they were puppies.  “They literally stomp their feet at the door in the morning. These guys just fell in love with it the first time, and I’ve met the best people here. Verandah is the most special community I’ve ever lived in.”

Even residents without canine companions come to be a part of the action.  Jan and Bob Barclay make it a point to never miss these animal antics.  Jan says, “We enjoy the camaraderie.  My husband will tell me ‘we have to get going or we’ll miss the dog people!’”

Jane Cooper has been attending these morning gatherings for over five years.  “We often see each other every day. We talk about what’s going on in the community and the world, and over time, our own personal stories and histories come out. We really get to know and appreciate each other. These relationships are unlike any I’ve experienced before. We have become a kind of family.”

With all the excitement and enjoyment the dog-loving residents of Verandah have, now is the perfect time to learn more about making Verandah your new home.  After all, a dog’s life isn’t such a bad thing.

Bonita Bay Group’s Verandah Community Welcomes Wisconsinites with Open Arms

5. March 2010 05:16

The Bonita Bay Group’s Verandah community has residents from all over the world.  Ron & Gail Chimenti moved from the great state of Wisconsin to make Verandah their new home after several word of mouth referrals.

Ron Chimenti said, “We thought Verandah was a great value, and we have a lot of friends who spend winters in the area. A friend from my country club in Green Bay bought a home here before us, and after moving here we found out that our four closest neighbors are from Wisconsin.”

It’s no wonder why Verandah is such a desirable community to live in.  The most attractive and most loved features are the two rolling, green golf courses.  These golfing greens not only serve as a great fitness outlet, but also provide a lively social scene.  In addition to golf, residents enjoy the large variety of amenities to keep them physically active including tennis, kayaking, strolling through the stunning nature preserve and the fitness center.

“We’re both very happy we bought in Verandah,” said Chimenti. “We use the fitness center and all of the amenities, and our kids come down and we go kayaking or ride bikes. Plus we bought the house my wife loved. We were in Milwaukee for a week during Thanksgiving and when we pulled into Verandah, we were both happy to be back. It was a good test for us. We know this place is home.”

Verandah offers estate, custom and traditional single-family homes, villas and coach homes.  Home and homesite packages start in the low $200,000s and up.  For a limited time, homesites have been reduced; starting in the $50,000s.

Whether you are from Wisconsin, Washington or even Wales, now is the perfect time to see why the Verandah community makes the perfect home.
