Redesigning the Aerie Golf Course at TwinEagles

6. March 2009 10:50

The Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary Aerie golf course at TwinEagles is renowned for its Gary Player-design and challenging play. Recent renovations to the course have proven to increase its overall playability while maintaining its challenging edge and pristine natural appeal. The decision to modify the Aerie was made as a result of members and Bonita Bay Group development staff’s desire to improve the overall player experience. Since the new renovations were revealed in Fall 2008, player feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

The Aerie is one of two courses at The Club at TwinEagles. The redesign project included a complete revamping of the third green, as well as grassing in “waste areas” and creating more playable room on the course. The changes and ease of playability introduced as a result are noticeable to all who have played the course in the past. As play is available for members and nonmembers, TwinEagles invites golf aficionados throughout Southwest Florida to come and play The Aerie golf course and experience all that TwinEagles has to offer.

Bonita Bay Group is developing TwinEagles in keeping with its ongoing commitment to meticulous planning, environmental stewardship, integrity and attention to detail. The 1,115-acre Naples community was named to Golf & Travel magazine’s list of the 12 Most Intriguing Golf Communities in America, was included in Travel + Leisure Golf’s list of the top 100 golf communities in America for two consecutive years and received a top award from the Council for Sustainable Florida. The Club at TwinEagles is certified by Audubon International as a Signature Sanctuary and is the only private club in Florida with courses designed by two living legends, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.
